Built into Ear (3a), the aerospace-grade diaphragm delivers stronger, clearer vocals and instruments. And the 12 mm driver is bigger than the one in Ear (a) – which means that bass sounds better at up to 5 dB deeper than before.
With up to 45 dB of wideband Active Noise Cancellation, it's easier to naturally filter voices and background noises. Three strength modes let you choose what you hear in every situation, while Transparency Mode lets the world in.
Static Spatial Audio maps what you hear across a virtual 3D field, creating a wider and more immersive listening experience while gaming or streaming.
Ear (3a) features rounded edges and expressive colours for an approachable evolution of Nothing's signature design codes.
Ear (3a) comes with silicone ear tips, which means they're comfortable for all day wear. With S, M and L sizes, a new XS means they'll fit great.
On the case, three new LEDs show you things like charging progress, battery life and pairing status with light patterns.
Pinch the buds to play, double-pinch to skip tracks or pinch and hold to switch between Active Noise Cancellation modes. Change controls in the Nothing X app.
Audio Snapshot and call recording let you save what you hear directly onto Ear (3a). You can record up to a minute of media or up to two hours of calls and meetings.
With the Nothing X app, you can sort and transcribe using AI. With Pro Transcription, you can also identify speakers, get reminders and send quotes to your friends.
With the charging case, you can listen for 42 hours without plugging in. Each bud lasts for 10 hours with ANC off, and 6 hours with ANC on. And you can get up to an hour of playback in a five minute charge.
Switching between phones and computers is easy with low latency, dual-device connections on Android, Windows and iOS.
On the Nothing X app, you can boost bass, treble and vocals, or explore custom EQs from the Nothing Community. And if you want more control, the 8-band equaliser lets you create custom profiles.
